Dr. Burckhardt has an extensive medical and surgical background in the proper care and treatment of all foot and ankle diseases and disorders. Born and educated in Philadelphia, PA, Dr. Burckhardt has lived and practiced in Kingwood, TX, since 1983. He prides himself on being a veteran marathon runner in the Houston Marathon for over 15 years.

• Bachelor's degree in Biology
• D.P.M. degree from the Pennsylvania College of Podiatric Medicine
• Surgical residency at Brooke Army Medical Center, Ft. Sam Houston, TX
• Responsibilities at Brooke included supervision of junior staff as well as clinic military and civilian personnel
• Training of orthopedic, podiatric, cast technicians, physician assistants and special forces medical students
• Moved to Kingwood and opened podiatric practice in 1983
• Involved with teaching surgical residents for 20 years
